Beach day at Praia forte
Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Praia do Forte is known for the São José da Ponta Grossa fort but it is also a good place for having a cold bear at one the front beach restaurants you can find there.
I spent a lovely sunny afternoon at the Pescador Lobo restaurant sipping my beer, having petiscos and refreshing myself in the sheltered waters. It was very windy but the restaurant was well protected next to the hill against the northern wind- Jurerê beach was getting it directly.
One the good things I have learned living in the island is to pay attention to the wind direction. While in some places you can have trouble to keep your parasol on its place, in other you can just feel a light breeze.
